A Message on Submission on Palm Sunday

Luke 19:28-38 King James Version (KJV)

28 And when he had thus spoken, he went before, ascending up to Jerusalem.

29 And it came to pass, when he was come nigh to Bethphage and Bethany, at the mount called the mount of Olives, he sent two of his disciples,

30 Saying, Go ye into the village over against you; in the which at your entering ye shall find a colt tied, whereon yet never man sat: loose him, and bring him hither.

31 And if any man ask you, Why do ye loose him? thus shall ye say unto him, Because the Lord hath need of him.

32 And they that were sent went their way, and found even as he had said unto them.

33 And as they were loosing the colt, the owners thereof said unto them, Why loose ye the colt?

34 And they said, The Lord hath need of him.

35 And they brought him to Jesus: and they cast their garments upon the colt, and they set Jesus thereon.

36 And as he went, they spread their clothes in the way.

37 And when he was come nigh, even now at the descent of the mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works that they had seen;

38 Saying, Blessed be the King that cometh in the name of the Lord: peace in heaven, and glory in the highest.

Thoughts From Psalm 23

Psalm 23 King James Version (KJV)

23 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want.

He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters.

He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.

Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of mine enemies: thou anointest my head with oil; my cup runneth over.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the Lord for ever.

PASCOAG COMMUNITY BAPTIST CHURCH: RESPONSE TO COVID-19.

PASCOAG COMMUNITY BAPTIST CHURCH: RESPONSE TO COVID-19.

After much prayer, discussion and study of the facts surrounding COVID-19 (Coronavirus), I have come to a decision concerning the Pascoag Community Baptist Church.

As I see it in Scripture, I have two responsibilities that must be at the forefront of the ministry. The first and greatest is the preaching of the Gospel! This is the duty of each individual that claims the name of Christ. This duty is mandated by both a scriptural and moral obligation.

The second duty is also a scriptural and moral obligation that I must adhere to. I am required to care for the flock. In this case, I have made the decision that for the sake of those who call me Pastor and friend as well as our neighbors and our community, Pascoag Community Baptist Church will cancel.all church services and Community Christian School will cancel all classes for the remainder of March and we will re-evaluate and make further decisions from there. All parents of CCS students will be contacted by the school shortly with details concerning how we plan to keep your child’s education moving forward over the next few weeks.

Please understand that these decisions were not made lightly or out of fear, but out of a deep concern for our church & school family and for the community that we serve. If there is anything we can do for you during this time, please do not hesitate to reach out and allow us to minister to you.

Your friend,

Pastor Bryan K. Speroni
